Norco 539 (Hydrocodone 10/325mg)
The potency of opioid medications and opioid formulations varies by patient. As a result, it is best to take a conservative approach when determining the total daily dosage of NORCO. It is preferable to underdose a patient’s 24-hour NORCO dosage rather than overdose and deal with the unpleasant side effects of an overdose.
Norco 539 (Hydrocodone 10/325mg)
Because Norco contains more hydrocodone than Vicodin, hydrocodone-related adverse symptoms such as dizziness, fatigue, and lightheadedness are more prevalent. Furthermore, while Norco has more hydrocodone, it has significantly less acetaminophen per pill, far less than the recommended quantity. As a result, it is doubtful that acetaminophen adds to Norco’s pain-relieving effects.
Unless recommended for cancer-related pain, Norco and Vicodin should only be used for brief periods of time.3The hydrocodone in Norco, Vicodin, and other drugs can cause physical and psychological dependence as well as tolerance (tolerance develops when the same dosage no longer provides the same amount of pain relief).1,2,3 Pain relievers
This combo medication is designed to relieve moderate to severe pain. It contains both an opioid (hydrocodone) and a non-opioid pain reliever (acetaminophen). Hydrocodone changes the way your brain perceives and responds to pain. Fever can also be treated with acetaminophen.
