Magnus MR (Morphine Sulfate) 30mg capsule

Magnus Mr is a phenanthrene derivative that primarily affects the CNS and smooth muscles. It binds to opiate receptors in the central nervous system, affecting pain perception and responsiveness. Its activation at the mu-1 receptors is hypothesized to provide analgesia, euphoria, and dependency, while its action at the mu-2 receptors causes gastric depression and suppression of bowel motions. Morphine agonist activity at the K receptor mediates spinal analgesia.

Magnus MR binding to opioid receptors prevents nociceptive signals from being transmitted, signals pain-modulating neurons in the spinal cord, and suppresses primary afferent nociceptors to dorsal horn sensory projection cells.

Magnus Mr has an onset time of 6-30 minutes. Excessive morphine and other opioid use can cause synaptic alterations.
