Zopiclone (Zopiclone) 7.5mg
Zopiclone is indicated for the short-term treatment of insomnia in adults. The approved adult dose is 7.5 mg taken shortly before bedtime for up to a maximum of 4 weeks. Medsafe has not assessed the safety and efficacy of longer-term use. Use of zopiclone for longer than 4 weeks should be considered ‘off-label’.
Zopiclone (Zopiclone) 7.5mg
If zopiclone is needed to manage insomnia, it should be used in conjunction with non-pharmacological approaches, such as managing expectations about sleep duration, improving sleep hygiene, modifying lifestyle factors, and addressing underlying health issues and psychological stress
Zopiclone works by attaching to the gamma-aminobutyric acid type A (GABAA) receptor in your brain and boosting the action of GABA, a chemical messenger that has a calming effect.
Zopiclone was introduced in the 1980s and is now widely used throughout the world. However, it is not available in the United States, where it is classified as a Schedule IV prohibited substance. Eszopiclone (Lunesta) has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Eszopiclone is a stereoisomer of Zopiclone, which means it has the same elements joined in the identical sequences as Zopiclone but has a different 3D structure.
Zopiclone is typically available as a tablet. If you have difficulty swallowing, your doctor may be able to order an oral solution containing this drug in some countries. Zopiclone comes in both branded and generic forms.
