Description
Kadian (Morphine Sulfate) 200mg capsule
Patients experiencing breakthrough pain may require a KADIAN dosage modification or rescue medication containing a suitable dose of an immediate-release analgesic. If pain persists after dose stabilization, try to isolate the source of the pain before increasing the KADIAN dosage. Consider a twice-daily regimen for patients who are experiencing insufficient analgesia with a once-daily dose of KADIAN. KADIAN dosage adjustments can be done every 1 to 2 days because steady-state plasma concentrations are approximated within 24 to 36 hours.
