Avinza (Morphine Sulfate) 120mg capsule
Avinza (Morphine Sulfate) 120mg capsule
During pregnancy, Avinza should be used only as indicated. It is not advised to use it near the expected delivery date due to the potential for fetal harm. Babies born to mothers who have used this medication for a long time may develop withdrawal symptoms, including irritability, unusual or consistent crying, vomiting, or diarrhea. Notify your doctor if you see any of these symptoms in your newborn. This medicine passes into breast milk and, in rare situations, can harm a breastfeeding newborn. Notify your doctor if your infant exhibits unusual tiredness, trouble feeding, or respiratory problems. Consult your doctor before beginning nursing. If you suddenly stop taking Avinza (morphine), you may have withdrawal symptoms.
Some medications can interact with morphine, resulting in a dangerous illness known as serotonin syndrome. Make sure your doctor is aware if you are also using stimulant medication, herbal items, or medication for depression, mental illness, Parkinson’s disease, migraine headaches, serious infections, or nausea and vomiting prevention. Consult with your doctor before changing how or when you take your medications.
